The Ten Legal Commandments of Photography

Here's a great article on the ten legal things you need to know when taking photos. We've all heard the stories about the photographer taking pictures of a government building, a bridge, or a railway, only to be confronted by law enforcement and then getting his film or memory swiped.

So, here's the basic deal: If on public land, most things are fair game. If on private property, the property owner dictates what you can and cannot do.

Law enforcement, in general, cannot take your equipment without a court order. Caveat: I bet the FBI and other DHS-types have pre-made court orders that fit the circumstances already made up. So, beware.

The best advice: Be quick and do everything above board.

Free Photo Editing Tool -- FlauntR

This web app was brought to my attention about a month ago, and I never found time to review it, until now. While I haven't given it the full once-over, I can say it looks promising. In the next few weeks, I'll give it a closer look, but I wanted to point it out to you right away.

Online software is becoming more and more ubiquitous and free. Gotta love that! One of the neatest things about this software is, with some mods, you can add it to your own web site and share it with your users. This is way cool.
